The Venue @ Pearl Mountain | Paarl Wedding Venue
23 / 03 / 17New to the wedding industry but well known to the Paarl region, The Venue at Pearl Mountain has found itself at the top many brides’ and wedding planners’ lists when searching for the perfect winelands wedding venue. This fifth-generation farm dates to the 18th century and has been built on a proud heritage; part of which are the recognised Retief and Stubborn Man Wines.
Pearl Mountain lies on the northern slopes of Paarl Mountain. The venue was originally established in 1747 as a blacksmith's home and forge. Today it is home to Blacksmith's Kitchen and The Venue @ Pearl Mountain.
Hoping to add this hotspot to our list of wedding venues, we took the time to visit Pearl Mountain to acquaint ourselves its facilities. At the top of the northern slopes of Paarl Mountain, The Venue emerges from the surrounding vineyards − a grand entrance to a grand venue.
The terraced garden leads to the outdoor ceremony area, situated atop the hill and overlooking the estate and valley. The setting lends itself to a perfect ceremony area, where guests can admire the view while you say your I-Do’s. With an indoor chapel in the works, brides will soon be spoilt for choice.
The reception venue opens out onto a paved patio, allowing for a free-flow between the inside and outside spaces. Here guests can enjoy pre-reception drinks and canapes while enjoying views and sunset over the Drakenstein Mountains.
The venue’s interior includes its face brick walls and fire place, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All catering is done in-house by the famous Blacksmith’s Kitchen. You and your guests will be spoilt with good wine and mouth-watering food. With its contemporary design, delicious cuisine and breath-taking views, The Venue offers the full package.
